Additional information: Description: Beautiful show, parade and display ready 1954 John Deere 40-S Standard tractor. Restored as new 2005 at over $8,400 with receipt. Engine overhauled and much more to be like as new as shown. Perfect oil pressure. Starts-runs-drives Excellent. 11.2x24's new rear tires, and new front tires in 2005 and still like new with the nubbies on them.. Dry underneath. Hydraulic pump resealed. Runs like a clock. New battery, oil change in 2019. Wiring harness all new some years ago. Original 6 Volt System, Lights, gauges all work A1. Optional Power Adjust Wheels. Factory 40 420 430 double-stack weights. Original full 3-Point. Rear PTO with shield. With the restoration mechanically there was a complete tear down of the engine- block was cooked and cleaned, magna-fluxed, crank done new bearings mains and rods. New cam bushing. Head all redone. New overhaul kit with new oversize pistons, etc.. New clutch, brakes were all checked and are still very good. New radiator and bushings. Transmission gears were all solid no chips and fluids were all changed. Front end is tight and any new bushings needed were replaced. Power adjust rims were brand new in 2005. Note there is a little weather checking starting on the rear tires but they are new with the nubbies still on them. This past month the hyd. pump was removed and it was pulled all apart and resealed. New engine oil change too recently. That way you can buy with confidence. Delivery available from here in very southwest Michigan just 15 miles from I-80 and Indiana. Cost would be only .75 mile one-way if over 500+ miles.
