Career Transitions LLC is recruiting qualified candidates for a permanent job position, Quality Engineer, for a mid-sized manufacturing company in Southwest Michigan. Our client is a Tier 1 supplier in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities:
The Supplier Quality Engineer will have a proven track record of involvement with new project launches utilizing APQP methods and documents such as FMEAs and Control Plans; conducting capability and gage R&R studies; performing PPAP submissions; conducting process & product audits; utilizing SPC and other related statistical methods; participating in product/process improvement teams; and leading corrective/preventative action teams. In addition, experience as a first responder to customer and supplier issues in a Tier 1 automotive environment is required. Knowledge of TS 16949 system requirements is highly desirable.
Job Requirements:
An extensive background in metal stamping, fabrications, welding, and assembly operations is required; along with a CQE and/or CQA certification. A Bachelor's Degree and/or ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in an automotive environment is highly desirable.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
