A leading manufacturer of automotive components near Niles, MI is looking for a Foundry Engineer to set up, develop, maintain and improve a non-ferrous casting process for making critical automotive components. An Engineering degree from an accredited university is mandatory along with at least 3 years of metal casting experience in a busy manufacturing environment. Experience must include casting furnace control, tooling design and maintenance, troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, blueprint reading and AutoCAD or Pro-E. The Foundry Engineer is expected to have excellent communication and organizational skills. Training of other employees and vendors is required. Overnight travel to other facilities and customer sites will be required. Candidates with a stable work history and casting experience are encouraged to apply.
