Job SummarySpecialize in the proper management of wound care by treating and monitoring wounds that are the result of disease, injury, or medical treatments. Provide direct and indirect patient care and clinical consultation related to wound, ostomies, and continence care.Essential Functionso Participate in the coordination of the plan of care for the wound, ostomy and incontinent patient. o Provide care that will quickly and safely heal various types of wounds, including surgical openings, ulcers, bed sores, feeding tube sites, and abscesses. o Access the wounds, create and implement treatment plans, monitor infections and signs of various infections, and clean wounds. o Serve as a resource person for staff and patients with wounds, ostomies and incontinence, including staff education and participates on committees related to skin care issues. o Serve as a community resource and resource for pending Ostomy Clinic. o Evaluate educational, supply, and equipment needs of the wound, ostomy, and continence patient. o Actively participate in department, hospital, staff, and community education. o Inform the physician and other personnel of changes in the patient's condition and needs. Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred Master's Degree Nursing 5 years of relevant experience 5 years clinical WOC experience Required LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan CRT-Wound Care, Certified (WCC) - NAWCO National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
NursingEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
